URFT — Underground Robotic Freight Tunnel

Move pallets under the city instead of over it.

URFT is a system for moving pallets through sub-terranean logistics networks — designed for orders of magnitude lower installation and operating cost than any existing major tunnel project, including the Boring Company's work and the Ontario Line.

The emphasis is standardization: fixed tunnel dimensions and transport mechanisms, so the system is compatible across different logistics operations and doesn't depend on proprietary technology. It costs less than building roads and moves considerably more through the same space.

The tunnels are also meant to carry municipal infrastructure and serve as an emergency shelter and alternate route. Running logistics underground improves bio-security and physical security, and it's the only form of transport that's completely unaffected by weather and changing climate conditions.
