Live on YouTube

An arena, played by the chat

Everyone watching is a blob on a grid, and commenting a direction is how you drop into it. Every few seconds every player's last comment is played at once, so the whole board moves in a single step and the gap is the part you actually play in: you are working out where the bigger ones are about to go while they work out the same thing about you. Land on someone smaller and you absorb them, land on food and you grow, and typing clear takes you off the board altogether.

  1. Open the stream on YouTubeThe chat lives on YouTube, so that is where the game reads from and where you play.
  2. Type one letterOn its own, nothing else. Or type the whole word if you think you have it.
  3. Wait for the next waveWhoever called a letter first gets their name and picture on that tile, and the points land on the leaderboard on screen.

Split screen keeps the stream playing down one side and opens the rest of the site on the other, so you can read about anything here without leaving the game.

Fullscreen gives you the stream on its own with nothing around it, and /YoutubeLive/display is the same view as a page, for putting on a screen. Open the display view.

Who is winning

Points carry across streams. First to call a letter scores the most, solving the whole word scores more again, and longer words are worth more than short ones.
